If you would like to make a positive impact on the many homeless and unwanted dogs and cats in our community, please consider giving to the Humane Society of Blue Ridge (“HSBR”) through your will or trust. It’s a simple and personal way to ensure that we are able to continue our work for years to come. The easiest and most popular form of legacy gifts are bequests of cash, securities, personal property or real estate.

Types of Bequests to consider: Specific Bequest, Residuary Bequest, Gift of Personal Property, Contingent Bequest
The following is suggested language for your legal advisor to integrate into your will or living trust depending on the type of bequest you choose:
Specific Bequest
I give, devise and bequeath to the Humane Society of Blue Ridge (TIN 26-1144891) located at 171 Mineral Springs Road, Blue Ridge, GA 30513, the sum of $________ for its _________ program, or for general purposes as determined by its Board of Directors.
Gift of Personal Property
I give, devise and bequeath to the Humane Society of Blue Ridge (TIN 26-1144891) located at 171 Mineral Springs Road, Blue Ridge, GA 30513, ___________ (description of personal property) for its __________ program, or for general purposes as determined by its Board of Directors.
Residuary Bequest
All (or ____ %) of the rest, residue and remainder of my property, both real and personal wheresoever situated, I give, devise and bequeath to the Humane Society of Blue Ridge (TIN 26-1144891) located at 171 Mineral Springs Road, Blue Ridge, GA 30513, for its ___________ program, or for general purposes as determined by its Board of Directors.
Contingent Bequest
